First Tooth

The first tooth finally popped through the gum. And we have the pictures to prove it.

Bottom left - this was as zoomed as I got. He wasn't cooperating very well.

Danny's Baptism

Yesterday was Danny's baptism.
Here's the guest of honor.
All of us before leaving for the church.
He did so well when the priest poured the water on his head. Didn't even make a peep.

After the ceremony with Godparents Uncle Eric and Auntie M
Auntie M with the kids
Uncle Eric with the cousins: Danny, Anna and Natalie

Danny with Gam and Pop
Other family members celebrated with us as well, we just didn't get pictures of everyone. Thanks for sharing in his special day. And thanks to Liz for using my camera in the church - you did great!

Six months

Today Danny is SIX months old. He has his check-up tomorrow, so I'll know the official stats then, but I think he's growing like a weed. He is coming into his own little personality and is overall a happy, healthy baby. He is rolling more than ever and barely stays on his back anymore. As soon as we lay him on his back ... before you can walk away he's flipped over to his belly. Still no teeth, but the drool is definitely there.

Last night we went out to dinner for Valentine's Day. We let Natalie pick where we went so we ended up at "The Blue Restaurant" which is a family style restaurant/diner near us. Not exactly the place for a fancy Valentine's dinner, but that's what she wanted. She had breakfast for dinner which is one of her favorite meals. Look at the size of this pancake -- it's bigger than her head!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

The calm after the storm

Now that's had a chance to recover (really?) from the second blizzard, I wanted to take some pictures to remember just how much snow we really got. Although I'm not sure I will forget any time soon.

They are calling for a mere 6 to 12 inches tomorrow night. No problem.

Throwing up the white flag - but who would see it??

So it's miserable. Totally horrible. You know when you look at the local map while watching the news and you see a small band that seems to get hit the hardest and you think ... "oh those poor people, I feel sorry for them". Well we are those people. THIRTY more inches? Really? And wind gusts of 40mph? 83 is totally shut down. Is this even possible? Maybe it's all a bad dream and I will wake up tomorrow to sunny skies, green grass and tulips blooming?

Karen, Holly - you guys ok over there? Even my southern readers? Anyone else miserable?

Blizzard #2

Well we made it through another blizzard. The unofficial measurement at our house was 28 inches. And while we prepare for more snow the middle of this week, here are some pictures from Friday and Saturday.

This was Natalie on Friday night. Child labor laws? What? I didn't see anything .

Saturday morning when I opened our front door. Daisy ran out about 3 steps and then came back in (and drug all the snow with her).

Our cars. It was SO fun to clean them off.

All bundled up and ready to go outside.

We left Danny in the doorway to protect him from the snow that was still coming down.

Greg, Natalie and Wrigs ventured out for a walk. They tried to walk in some old tire tracks where it wasn't as deep. When Natalie decided to be brave and venture outside of them, she fell and couldn't get up. Greg had to hold her up by her hood. Wish I had been there with my camera.

Daisy was trapped in the garage. She eventually just held her breath and ran through it.

Wrigley didn't seem to mind it. Of course he is much taller so he could still get around.

Today we are going to stay in and try to rest our sore muscles. We may need them come Wednesday.

No news is good news

I have nothing new to report, but I do have a cute new pic.

Another snowstorm is on the way. Maybe tomorrow we will have some outside pictures. If I never see another snowflake again it will be too soon, but it's already started and we are under a winter storm watch. I guess Punxsutawney Phil was right. He saw his shadow today so six more weeks of winter.
