Cars

We got to spend some quality time with Brian, Ashleigh and Lilly this weekend at their house. Lilly's hot pink Mini Cooper was a BIG hit!

Then we made "schmoes" by the fire which were also a big hit.

And this is the Dan's new favorite face to make. He especially likes to do it at dinner.

In other news, he is out of the crib and into his very own race car bed!

(Thanks Heather!)

It took some getting used to, but I think he has the hang of things now.

Busy Weekend

We had a very busy weekend with our normal routine of soccer and girl scouts. But this week we threw in a birthday party and a luncheon. It was a lot of fun and we got to see a lot of friends and family. We started off Friday with Nicholas' birthday party at the York Revolution game. He got a jersey with his name on it and even got to throw out the first pitch. Very cool!

Then on Saturday after soccer, we headed down to have lunch with Grandpa Larry. Eric, Katie and Anna met us there and we were able to spend the afternoon together. I think Grandpop was a little overwhelmed with the 3 little ones. They were the hit of the "home" and ran laps around common living space.

Not sure what's up with Natalie's hair in this one ... Flock of Seagulls anyone?

Grandpop commented on how well the kids all got along and I couldn't agree more. They played nicely together and it was a great visit.

Homework

With 1st grade comes homework. Danny has been trying to get in on the action so we got him set up with some coloring next to Natalie.

I know it won't last long, so I wanted to capture it while he was still interested.

I married my best friend. Greg and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary yesterday. Our wonderful friends Nichole and Mark offered to watch the kids while we went out of town for the night. Although we ended up staying in town, we took them up on their offer to let the kids sleep over. We were able to go out to dinner - at a restaurant that didn't have a kids menu - and eat at our own pace. We then went to another restaurant just for dessert! Even though we love our kids dearly, we really enjoyed our time together. But of course we rushed over first thing this morning to get them and hit the soccer field.

When I was drafting this post my intention was to link to all the pictures from prior anniversaries. I had to laugh because it seems that last year I didn't post any current pictures of us and the year before that - omg - it was the most awful picture of us. We had that "we have a newborn baby" glaze in our eyes and some extra baby weight. What was I thinking? So I think I'll end here with my favorite wedding picture of us and call it a day. And for those of you that are tempted to go back and look at that pic ... please don't!!

September 9, 2000. I still remember it like it was yesterday.
