Another Zoo Trip

We decided to go to the zoo on Monday to enjoy the beautiful weather. Danny slept thru the first part.


But woke up eventually.

And the giraffes are still the fan favorite.

We also all went to Natalie's soccer game this weekend. Look at this strong leg for the goal kick! And this is the face of someone who loses interest in the 4th quarter.

Here's a short clip of soccer play. You'll notice she gets the ball away from the opponent, but then loses it again. Baby steps.

More visitors

This weekend Grandpa Al and Grandma Sue came from Omaha to visit and meet the newest member of the family. We spent our time just playing at home and going to local restaurants and shops.

We all enjoyed watching Natalie on her new BIG GIRL bike. Watch out New Freedom!

And Natalie is also officially now Wacko for Flacco!

Hope & Danny

Hope and Karen stopped by for a quick visit last week. Hope is 6 months old and is just the sweetest thing. Her and Danny spent some time getting to know each other.

Playdates with friends

Even though it was such a rainy day today, we had a great time when Willow, Joey, Matthew and Jenn came up for a playdate.

Natalie and Joey had a great time playing the Wii:

And on Wednesday we went over for a playdate with Avery and Emma. Alex and Amanda recently bought a house just a few minutes away. The kids were riding so fast, it was hard to get good pictures.

Poor Emma took a fall last week and has a cast on her arm. Doesn't really slow her down though, she was still playing at 100%.

Go Ravens!

Yes, I am rooting for the NFL team, but this morning was all about the Ravens soccer clinic team. We were ready to take on our very first opponent ... the Sharks ... well, until they didn't show up. Apparently some confusion about the schedule and games on Labor Day weekend. So we scrimmaged each other. And then we played against some of the older kids who were there to support their younger siblings. It was a good chance for the kids to get in some practice of what a real game will feel like.
