A night with Hope

I had the pleasure of watching Hope last night while Karen and Joe went to a wedding. At first, she was a little uncertain and just took in the new surroundings.

But everyone always feels better after a little snack.

And by the time we headed outside, she was back to her normal self and started acting silly.

Just like someone else I know.

Not everything was pefect though, there were a few sharing issues.
And some climbing over each other issues.

But most of the time, they played really nicely together.

I even had time for some brainwashing! She used to be a steelers fan.
Thanks for bringing her over. She is going to make a great big sister!

The Forgotten 2nd Child

While it may seem like all the posts lately have been about Natalie, Danny has been getting his own attention. Here's a super cute video (yes, I'm biased) of just him.

Sunflowers

So we are surrounded by sunflowers again this year. I love driving around seeing fields and fields of them.

We were so inspired last year, that in April, Natalie planted her own sunflowers at Mimi's house.

They finally got too big for the pot and we split the batch. Half stayed there and the other half came to our house. You can see them to the left of the door by the house.

Both "crops" did really well and got over 8 feet tall!

It was very fun to watch them grow and I definitely want to plant more next year.

Another milestone

Last night Natalie was sitting on the floor watching tv when all of the sudden it looked like she was spitting into her hand. Knowing her history, I thought she was throwing up. But then she proudly held up her tooth! She lost her first tooth!

So she left it under her pillow for the tooth fairy who came last night and replaced the tooth with cold hard cash!

GOOOOAAAALLLLL!!!!!

Soccer has started again for Natalie and this morning was their first game.
This was during warm-up. (You really have to click on the pictures to see them in a bigger size and get the full effect.)
But during the game, she got a break-away,

dribbled down the field,

And SCORED!!! Her first goal. Ever!

We were so proud and, obviously, so was she!

Danny enjoyed the game as well.

Last night we went to a corn maze place and they had a bunch of other outdoor activities. Natalie got to ride on a course with a pedal car.

And run and climb on bails of hay.

Greg took Danny down the slide. (I think they liked it, but you can't really tell by their faces).

We waited til dark to actually do the maze so there are no pictures of that. We were in the maze for 45 minutes and didn't even get through all of it. We just wandered around path after path thinking that we were making progress just to end up back at the start. Oh well, it was fun anyway.

10 years!?!

It seems like just yesterday we met. And got engaged.

And got married.

But it's been ten years! And counting.
Time flies when you're having fun!
Love you!

Labor Day Weekend

Natalie and I started off the long weekend with a little pampering. I treated her to her first pedicure.

She picked out the color and design and we got all matchy matchy.
While Natalie and I were out, Greg decided to play barber shop at home ...
and gave Danny his first mohawk!
We headed over to Mimi and Papa's for breakfast today and passed the time in the car by taking pictures. Danny was looking very stylish in his hoodie.
And Natalie was just being silly
We took advantage of the beautiful weather and got some more pictures outside.
