Our visit to see Hope

On Friday, Natalie and I went over to visit Karen, Joe and Hope. My mind is one big blur these days and I totally forgot my camera. Good thing I was going to the one house that this would not be a problem. Karen took a few pictures and posted them on her blog. I'm too lazy to re-post, so please see the link to her blog on my sidebar.

Thanks for letting us come over, Karen and Joe, and thanks again for pizza dinner! Yum!

Scooter Sunday

Today was the first semi-warm day we've had this week. It wasn't quite the 60 degrees they promised, but it was nice enough to head outside and test out the birthday scooter. She loves her new wheels.

Click on this picture to see her smiling as she goes past.

I think Buddy and Daisy wanted to come out and ride scooters too.

Happy Birthday Natalie!!!

Today was Natalie's 4th birthday! Wow, time really does fly. We had a small party to celebrate and even though she was recovering from a cold, she had a great time.

She and Lilly got to play a little before the party really got started. They had a "sleepover".

Then we ate!

Then gifts!

And cake!!

And so everyone will stop grilling me about posting belly pictures, here's 16 weeks:

Rest in Peace Puddy

Flashback to Valentines Day 1997 when Greg gave me a tiny orange kitten. We appropriately named her Valentine. Since then though, she has been affectionately known as Puddy.

Well, over the past few days Puddy has not been acting herself. She had a weird look in her eyes and seemed to be losing weight. For those of you that know Puddy, losing weight is not in her vocabulary. When we saw blood this morning, Greg took her to the vet. The diagnosis -- kidney failure, something with her pancreas, severe dehydration and her body was going into shock. We knew what we had to do.

So, despite all the jokes we made about Puddy, she really was a great cat and will be missed.

Rest in Peace Puddy. We love you.
